Finally! A news reader who is observant enough to ask questions about a
non-environmentalist.

The fear that drives me is the fear that my employer (a refiner) will be
regulated out of existence in this country (U.S.). When I can work inside
a refinery, and see little evidence of pollution, it seems that the
regulations are probably strict enough as they are.

Another issue, which is more of a bother rather than a fear, is the
apparent stupidity and arrogance of some of the more rabid
environmentalists. These guys don't seem to realize that I will not give a
damn about the environment is I am out of work and hungry. If you think my
attitude is bad now, how would you like to see me indiscriminately chopping
down trees in order to get enough free fuel to stay warm? Or, how would
you like to see me poaching any animal I came across in order to get enough
food to survive? Think about it.

BTW, thanks for asking, and have a nice day.
