Having no intention whatsoever of driving even to the end of my driveway after
yesterday's journey, I was torn when Eric reported the Cinnamon Teal in
Goldsboro. Oh well, I figured, the predicted snowfall will give me a good
excuse to stay home. Of course the predicted snow was just that, predicted. Of
the 8 inch forecast we got exactly... nothing. So, I figured I was morally
obligated to go to Goldsboro (where they actually did get some of the white
stuff). I met Eric and Celia at the pond and was treated to very nice looks at
this very smart looking drake. If anyone still feels like getting out, US 70
has been scraped and is in good shape between Raleigh and Goldsboro, although
some of the secondary roads in Goldsboro are still snow covered. They scraped
Arrington Bridge road as I was leaving.
Best,
