Lack of winter birds

Here in New Bern, I have noticed a shortage of not only juncos at the
feeders, but yellow-rumped warblers as well, which usually number around 30
every winter in our yard. And we have not seen our regular Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker, who always loved hanging around the suet cage. And our customers
are complaining of no goldfinch. We always have an initial shortage in the
early fall, but this is ridiculous. And we have a grand total of three
white-thr. sparrows.

We'll be having our Christmas Count on the 18th of Dec. It will be
interesting to see if these birds are seen in any great numbers here in
Craven Co.
