The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of Education will today (Thursday) consider a possible expansion to the district’s Spanish/English dual-language program.
The program, which was first offered in 2002 at Carrboro Elementary, has been very successful in terms of parent satisfaction and language skills. In addition, the district has received a high level of interest in the program, and school officials have recommended expanding the program to additional school sites for the 2008-09 school year.
The district also offers a Chinese/English dual-language program at Glenwood Elementary.
