Fourth Potluck in a Pasture summer supper
The fourth “Potluck in a Pasture†summer supper will be held Sunday, August 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Harland’s Creek Farm west of Pittsboro.
ChathamArts sponsors the series of suppers, which take place every third Sunday of each month this summer. Participants can tour the hosting farm and meet local artists.
The public is also invited to attend the arts council’s annual meeting, which will begin at the farm at 5 p.m.
Featured artists include ceramicist Salinda Dahl, sculptor Susan Draughon, wood turner Joel Hunnicutt and potter Melody Troncale. Vocalist Laine Lipson and pianist Avis Autry will perform lyrical standards from the 1930s and ‘40s.
Visitors are asked to bring a potluck dish for eight made with at least one local ingredient as well as a copy of the recipe, a beverage, lawn chair or blanket and $10 for adults ($8 for members) and $5 for children ages 6-12.
Proceeds benefit ChathamArts, a nonprofit county arts council that supports diverse arts and cultural programs in the schools and the community.

ACME and Chapel Hill Wine Company to host Eat Local wine dinner
ACME and the Chapel Hill Wine Company will host an “Eat Local†wine dinner on Sunday, August 19th at ACME in Carrboro.
The five-course dinner, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., will feature wine pairings and locally grown food.

Panzanella to host N.C. wine dinner
Panzanella will host a dinner featuring a selection of North Carolina wines on Monday from 7-9:30 p.m.
The dinner will feature six courses, with an emphasis on local ingredients. Wine coordinator Peg Todloski and executive chef Chris Capron will host the dinner.
Space is limited. To reserve a seat in advance, pick up a ticket for $45 at Panzanella or at the customer services desk at Weaver Street Market in Carrboro. Panzanella is located in the Carr Mill Mall on Weaver Street.
