The Mustangs won both their meets against Phillips yesterday!
Trinstin Van Ord, Emily Williams, Katey Furey, Erin McGibbon and Rachel Weaver were our top scorers for the Lady Mustangs. The score was McDougle 22, Falcons 38.
Mitch McLeod came within 15 seconds of beating the 1.5-mile course record yesterday with a time of 9:00 minutes flat. Also contributing points for the team were Brendan Neville, Connor Templeton, Taylor Wilt and Grant Cabell. The score was McDougle 24, Falcons 35.

The Mustang girl’s tennis team lost a tough match to Phillips last night (1-8).
Even though the final score indicates a one-sided effort, every Mustang player competed fiercely and made every match interesting. Competing in singles were Emily Mirkin, Rachel Parks, Katie O’Brien, Lila Scott, Imani Miller and Grace McLauglin. Our number-one doubles team of Katie O’Brien and Lila Scott won a spirited match, 9-7, in front of many members of the team who stayed to support their team. Also competing in doubles were the teams of Chelsea Alston and Janequia Evans as well as Casey Molina and Alexandra Slydel.
The Lady Mustangs will be facing off against Culbreth Middle School today (Thursday) at 4:00 p.m. at Wilson Park. Please come out and support the girls!

Volleyball

JV and varsity volleyball teams were victorious yesterday! The JVs battled back from a first game loss and being down in the second and third games to win 15-25, 25-22 and 15-11. Excellent serves by Hannah Blackburn, Sarah Brooks and Robin Tanz. The varsity won in two games 25-16 and 25-17. Aggressive play at the net by Alex Taylor and Katelyn Layden!
