News Brief: IFC honors Foy, Stumpf and local church

The Inter-Faith Council for Social Service last week honored Mayor Kevin Foy, the University Presbyterian Church and volunteer Margaret Stumpf for their commitment and service to the homeless and hungry in the community.

Stumpf, who has volunteered at IFC for nearly 25 years, received the Mildred Berkeley Community Service Award, which is awarded annually to an individual who has made a difference for IFC’s board, staff, volunteers and clients.

Foy received the Community Champion Award for his commitment to the homeless community and support of IFC’s request to move its men’s facility to the county Southern Human Services campus.
The University Presbyterian Church received the Ringwalt Community Partnership Award for its commitment to partnership with IFC as shown by its strong financial support, volunteer involvement and community leadership.
