Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is now accepting registrations for kindergarten students for fall 2008.
Incoming kindergartners must turn five years old on or before October 16. All students entering kindergarten in the fall must have a physical exam prior to the first day of school. A physical exam any time during the year preceding the first day of school is acceptable.
To register, parents should bring: proof of district residency, including a current Orange County property tax bill, settlement statement, lease or rental agreement, unpaid Duke Power bill, OWASA or Public Service Gas bill; a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate; immunization record; the child’s Social Security number; and any custody arrangement documentation, if applicable.
Registration forms are available online at www2.chccs.k12.nc.us/registration or by mail by calling registrar Marlen Orio and leaving a name and address. In addition, parents can pick up registration forms at the Lincoln Center on Merritt Mill Road. Forms should be returned to the registrar at the Lincoln Center, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
