School Brief: Doodle 4 Google

Posted on May 15, 2008 by Staff

Allison Press, a freshman at Chapel Hill High School, was chosen on Monday as one of 40 finalists in Google’s nationwide Doodle 4 Google competition.

The Doodle 4 Google competition asked students in grades K-12 to design a Google logo inspired by the question “What if…?” The winning student’s doodle will be displayed on Google’s homepage on May 22.

Press’s doodle was one of 40 chosen from thousands of entries. Her doodle, along with those of the 39 other finalists, will be displayed online at www.google.com/doodle4google, where the public can vote on the doodle of their choice.

Press will attend the Doodle 4 Google awards ceremony at the Googleplex in Mountain View, Calif. on May 21.
