The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of Education has named two new principals.
The board appointed Minnie Goins as principal of Glenwood Elementary School. She is a graduate of the North Carolina Principal Fellows Program and holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from North Carolina Central University and a master’s degree in school administration from UNC.
The board also appointed Amanda Crisp as the principal of McDougle Elementary School. Crisp has served as the assistant principal of Carrboro Elementary School for the past two years. Previously, she worked as the technology director for Cherokee County Schools and the technology facilitator for the Burlington-Alamance County Schools. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from UNC and a master’s degree in administration and supervision and curriculum and instruction from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee.
