Posted on June 12, 2008 by Staff

The Orange County Board of Commissioners is recruiting residents to serve on the Commission for Women and the Human Relations Commission.

The Commission for Women was formed in 1976 to promote the growth and development of all Orange County women. Its mission is to empower women and girls and promote their equality through advocacy, education and outreach activities.

The Orange County Human Relations Commission is a place for community members to voice concerns about social justice issues in Orange County. For more information contact Pam Reynolds at 960-3875.

For an application or information on other Orange County advisory boards, contact the office of the Clerk to the Board at 245-2125 or athompson-rockett@co.orange.nc.us. For an online application, visit the county’s website at www.co.orange.nc.us and click on the “Volunteer Boards” icon.
