Obituary – Brittany Anne Hauchman

Posted on June 26, 2008 by Staff

It is with great sadness that we share with family and friends the loss of our dear Britt.

Her love of life and people, and her warm and generous spirit will guide us all in our time here on earth.

Britt is survived by her parents, Nellie and Fred Hauchman, her brother, Rick and grandparents, Pedro and Nelia Diaz, and many wonderful family and friends.

Donations on Britt’s behalf can be made to Women for Women International (www.womenforpeople.org).

Visitation at Walker’s Funeral Home in Chapel Hill was Saturday, June 14 followed by a memorial celebration at Rock Quarry Farm.

Online condolences may be sent to www.walkersfuneralservice.com.

its always the good ones that have to die

to the most optimistic, loving, caring, smart, and lively individual i was blessed to ever meet

chapel hill has a huge hole in our hearts and our eyes are leaking rivers

i can’t even believe my ears – the hour when the ship comes in…

rest in heavenly peace with the rest of the angels–you are missed more than you know…

In a creative writing class in Spanish at the University of Washington-Seattle today Mario Cruz read a beautiful poem named for and dedicated to Brittany Hauchman, to an audience of students, faculty, and staff invited by Professor Edgar O’Hara.
