School Brief: Lunch cost rises

Posted on August 14, 2008 by Staff

As a result of rising food and fuel costs, meal prices will increase this year in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools cafeterias. Price increases do not affect students who receive free and reduced price meal benefits.

Breakfast prices increased by five cents, to $1.10 for students and $1.55 for adults.

Lunch prices increased by 10 cents, to $2.60 for elementary school students, $2.85 for secondary students and $3.35 for adults.
