The Hi Mom! Film Festival returns for its 10th go-‘round. The Festival takes place September 5 and 6 and includes 51 short films spread out over four different showings. The first is the Outdoor Block, which includes family-friendly films screened atop the Chapel Hill Wallace Parking Deck behind the post office on Sept. 5 at 9 p.m. The next set is the Late Night Madness block, screened at The ArtsCenter the same night at 11 p.m. Press materials describe this as the “rude and raunchy no-prudes allowed block,†so tuck the little ‘uns in first.
The shows continue on Sept. 6 with the “Matineevening†at 6 p.m. again at The ArtsCenter. This is the so-called “thought provoking and poignant block.†Bring a hanky? And once that’s over and done with, the final show is the “Primetime Hm!†with an eclectic mix of fun short films. Top it all off with an afterparty at Nightlight and you have a truly unique blend of independent art sure to blow minds and expand perceptions.
