Roehrig weds Dickson

Maggie & EricMaggie Dickson and Eric Roehrig were married at noon on Saturday, July 26, 2008 in the courtyard of The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill before many family members and friends. Justin Faerber officiated, with music provided by Matt Kalb. A reception hosted by Maggie’s parents followed in the Old Well Room of The Carolina Inn.

Maggie is the daughter of Vicky and Robert Dickson of Carrboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dickson, Jr. of Raeford and the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Green, Jr. of Chapel Hill.

Eric is the son of Eileen and Frank Roehrig of Greensboro. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schneir and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roehrig.

Maggie was escorted by her father. Susan Dickson of Chapel Hill, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Flower girls were Madison and Bayley Roehrig, nieces of the groom.

Eric’s brother John Sullivan of Greensboro served as best man. Joseph Sullivan, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Hillary Seith, friend of the bride, read “My Heart and Lute,” by Irish poet Thomas Moore.

The flowers for the ceremony and the reception were from Perrywinkle Farm and were arranged by Julie Sengelman and Elizabeth Standen, Maggie’s aunts; Marissa Green, Maggie’s cousin; and Susan Dickson.

A bridal luncheon hosted by Maggie’s aunt, Anne Fogleman, was held in her home the Friday before the wedding. That evening the rehearsal dinner was held at the Governor’s Club and was hosted by Eric’s parents.

Saturday evening, a party hosted by Eric’s parents was held at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro. Music was provided by the Hercules Europe Soul Revue. A good time was had by all.

Maggie and Eric are graduates of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Maggie received a masters degree from UNC in the School of Information and Library Science. Both are employed by UNC-Chapel Hill.

After an enjoyable trip to Webb Lake in Maine and the old city of Quebec, Maggie and Eric are living in downtown Carrboro.
