News brief: Body found

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a body that was found on Sunday off Morrow Mill Road in western Orange County.

The body is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 145 to 160 pounds. The cause of death was determined to be a single gun shot wound to the head. According to the sherriff’s office, the body appeared to have been down an embankment off Morrow Mill Road for a few days.

The sherriff’s office is checking missing person reports from surrounding counties and national entries for missing persons.
