The Orange County Human Relations Commission and the Orange County Office of Human Rights and Relations will host a kick-off ceremony for Human Relations Month on Jan. 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Carrboro Century Center on North Greensboro Street.
This year’s theme is “Power of the People: Race and the Environment in Orange County.†The event’s keynote speaker is Omega Wilson, president of the West End Revitalization Association. The event also will feature a performance by the East Baile Latino Group.
