The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking information about a possible assault on West Franklin Street late Feb. 20 or early Feb. 21.

According to police, a 26-year-old white male received a blow to the head that resulted in a fractured skull. The victim has said he remembers playing pool in a local bar but does not remember an attack. He is being treated at UNC Hospitals.

Police are asking anyone who might have information related to the incident to call either the Chapel Hill Police Department at 968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 942-7515. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,200 for information that leads to an arrest.
