Seawell students win Scrabble tournament

Seawell Elementary School fifth-grade students Jeffrey He and Edward Zhuang won the North Carolina School Scrabble Tournament on Feb. 28.

Smith Middle School seventh-graders Josh Hennen and Christopher Change earned second place, while Seawell fifth-graders Amalan Iyengar and Liam Hopfensberger came in third.

He and Zhuang will travel to Rhode Island in April to represent North Carolina in the National School Scrabble Championship.
