El Centro Latino of Orange County has named Ilana Dubester as its interim executive director.
Dubester will begin work on April 13 and will provide leadership while the board of directors looks for a full-time executive director. She replaces Victor Melendez, who recently resigned.
Dubester comes to El Centro from Hispanics in Philanthropy, where she served as program coordinator for the Funders’ Collaborative for Strong Latino Communities. In 1995, she founded El Vinculo Hispano/Hispanic Liaison, a community-based organization offering advocacy and direct services to Chatham County’s Hispanic community.
El Centro Latino is a nonprofit organization that aims to improve the quality of life of Latinos in and around Orange County through educational and social programs and cultural activities.
