The Carrboro Farmers’ Market will give away Cherry and Sungold tomato seedlings to children on April 25 starting at 8:30 a.m.
The market will supply growing instructions and the Orange County Master Gardeners will offer planting advice. In 10 weeks, the children should come back with a clipping from their seedlings, and the fruit will be displayed state fair-style.
Seedlings are donated by the markets vendors. Last year, the market gave away more than 400 seedlings.
