CHHS art students join Memory Project

Posted on May 28, 2009 by Staff

Chapel Hill High School art students recently joined the Memory Project, a nationwide initiative in which art students create original portraits for children living in orphanages around the world.

The school’s art club members receive pictures of children waiting for portraits and complete the pieces in their free time and at club meetings.

The project seeks to provide children with a special memory of their youth while honoring their heritage and helping them to build a positive self-image.
