Carrboro Orchestra

Posted on October 1, 2009 by Staff

The Carrboro High School Orchestra and Chorus will present a “From Renaissance Spirit to Spirituals” concert on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the school.

The 26-member orchestra will play a selection of the music it will perform in Prague during spring break. The music will include the Bagatelle, op. 47, no. 5, by Dvorak.

Each of the three choirs will sing music from the Renaissance along with such familiar spirituals as “When the Saints Go Marching In” and “Ain’t Got Time to Die.”

The concert will be performed in the area just off the high school’s Cafe Commons. Donations are $5 for adults and $3 for children.
