On the heels of the county’s recent major revision to its comprehensive plan, planning officials announced last week that they’re seeking public input for a new Unified Development Ordinance.
The UDO will consolidate property development regulations into one cross-referenced document. Examples of existing ordinances to be included in the UDO are: zoning, subdivision, flood damage, and erosion control.
Planners are holding an information session in Hillsborough tonight (Thursday, Oct. 22) at the Planning and Agricultural Center, 306-F Revere Road, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Officials plan to discuss the project’s scope, process and timeline and hope to receive input from the community.
