Dual language cookbook submissions

Posted on November 25, 2009November 25, 2009 by Staff

Saludamos of Sustain Foundation is accepting recipes from residents of Carrboro and Chapel Hill to be compiled in a dual language cookbook. The cookbooks will feature healthy recipes in English and Spanish from Hispanic women who are part of the program, other community members, local chefs and local farmers.

The cookbook, called Sabores de la Comunidad – Flavors of the Community, creates a way to promote connections between all members of the community and can be used as a language tool for those who want to learn English or Spanish, and its proceeds will help support Saludamos. Recipes will be translated by the Saludamos staff, and both translations of each recipe will be printed side-by-side with key words highlighted in both languages.

Saludamos is accepting recipe submissions electronically and in person at the Saturday Carrboro Farmers’ Market. To submit a recipe electronically, email it to saludamos@gmail.com.
