With prom and graduation approaching, three local high schools will host mock car crashes in an effort to educate students about dangerous driving decisions. North Carolina ranks fifth in the nation for teenage driving fatalities.
The first mock crash will be held at Carrboro High on March 26 at 10:30 a.m., the second at East Chapel Hill High on April 7 at 9 a.m. and the third at Chapel Hill High on April 15 at 1 p.m. The event includes an assembly followed by a mock crash on each school’s football field.
