Posted on August 18, 2010August 19, 2010 by Staff

The first draft of the Orange County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) is available for review and area residents are invited to submit feedback.

A UDO compiles property-development ordinances and regulations, such as zoning, subdivision, flood damage and erosion control, into one cross-referenced document.

Area residents are invited to attend a public input session on Sept. 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Orange County West Campus Office Building, lower level, 131 W. Margaret Lane in Hillsborough. Verbal or written comments may be submitted at the session. In addition, written comments may be submitted to the planning department until 9 a.m. on Sept. 20.

The 800-page draft is available online at co.orange.nc.us/planning/UDO.asp. Residents can also obtain a CD copy at the planning department on the second floor of the Orange County West Campus Office Building. For more information, contact the Planning and Inspections Department at 245-2575.
