Police seek information in armed robbery

The Chapel Hill Police Department is looking for information related to an armed robbery on Franklin Street on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, a suspect described as a 6-foot-tall black male pointed a gun at a victim in the parking lot of an apartment building at 1513 E. Franklin St. near the intersection of Elliot Road at 12:45 p.m. The victim gave the suspect her purse and he left in an early ‘90s model white Toyota Camry with a second suspect, described as a black male with dreadlocks. They were last seen heading toward Durham.

Police ask that anyone with information related to the incident contact the police department at 968-2760.
