The Veterans of Foreign Wars Chapel Hill Post 9100 is accepting applications for two annual youth scholarships until Monday.
The Voice of Democracy scholarship program is an audio-essay contest for high school students that provides more than $3 million in scholarships annually. Patriot’s Pen, a youth essay-writing contest, is a nationwide contest that gives sixth- through eighth-grade students the chance to win up to $10,000 in U.S. Savings Bonds by writing essays expressing their views on democracy.
