Estes Hills Elementary School held a science fair Nov. 19 that featured 78 science projects by 119 students.
Students, including third-, fourth- and fifth-graders, went through the entire scientific process, from developing a hypothesis, conducting an experiment, recording observations and drawing conclusions. Students’ projects involved determining the age and size of fish by examining rings in fish scales, what happens to cake if you leave out key ingredients, which dog toy or dog treat is the favorite with dogs, what happens to plants when grown in the dark and more.
