Posted on December 15, 2010 by Staff

Eleven Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools students have been named semifinalists in the 2011 Morehead-Cain Scholarship program.

Carrboro High School semifinalists are Neel Patel and Jordan Thomas; Chapel Hill High School semifinalists are Jane Chen, Galen Burns-Fulkerson, Kyle Villemain and Emily Werk; and East Chapel Hill High School semifinalists are Joanna Barros-Magalhaes, Nina Henage, Clark Cunningham, Susan Cavendar and Jenny Sun.

The Morehead-Cain Scholarship program selects students who demonstrate excellence in moral force of character, scholarship, physical vigor and leadership. Less than 4 percent of program applicants are admitted.

Semifinalists will participate in interviews in mid-January and scholarship recipients will be announced March 3.
