BRMA seeks volunteers

Posted on February 16, 2011 by Staff

Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate is accepting mentor applications from community members with the willingness to develop a caring, committed relationship with a child. BRMA is a mentoring and student-support program dedicated to improving the achievement of students of color in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools.

Volunteers must be over 21 years of age and able to make a two-year commitment to volunteering. Volunteers must complete BRMA’s full screening and training process.

Prospective volunteers can contact Graig Meyer at gmeyer@chccs.k12.nc.us or 918-2170. For more information about job requirements, program objectives, volunteer expectations, student descriptions compensation and training, visit blueribbonmentors.org. The spring registration for new mentors ends March 17.
