Schools receive garden funds

Seven schools in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools have received funding to support school-based gardens.

The district’s new child-nutrition contractor, Chartwells, will provide $10,000 to assist the schools with garden projects.

Schools that will receive funding include Estes Hills Elementary School, Carrboro Elementary School, Scroggs Elementary School, McDougle Middle School, Chapel Hill High School and East Chapel Hill High School.
