Students qualify for Duke TIP

Twenty-one Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools seventh-graders qualified for Grand Recognition in the Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP) this year. The program is a nonprofit organization that identifies academically talented students and provides innovative programs to support their educational development.

Qualifying students from Phillips Middle School are Eleanor Kincaid, Caroline Mueller, Natalie Sherman-Jollis and Thomas Wang.

TIP students from Smith Middle School are Vikram Aikat, Sydney Chen, Rachel Danner, Lily Elnaccash, Daniel Finkelstein, Veronica Kim, Phuong Le, Kunal Lodaya, Tejal Patwardhan, Varun Prasad, Simone Speizer, John Weber, Sarah Wu, Katherine Yang, Kelly Zhang and Jennifer Zou.

Sophie Struckmeyer of Culbreth Middle School also qualified for the program.
