Carrboro native wins undergrad award

Kelsey Carley Salvesen, a Carrboro native and UNC student, was presented the Jacques Hardré Undergraduate Award for Excellence in French at a university awards ceremony last week.

The award is presented to an undergraduate student whose work in French language and literature has been judged most outstanding by a faculty committee.

Salvesen is the daughter of David Salvesen and Kathleen Carley of Carrboro.
