Students win NAACP scholarships

Four high school seniors in Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools will receive scholarships at the Chapel Hill-Carrboro NAACP’s annual Freedom Fund Banquet and Dance held at the Sheraton Hotel on Friday.

This year, Teon Dolby, a senior from Carrboro High School, will receive the first scholarship given in honor of the late civil rights attorney Ashley Osment.

The other students who will receive scholarships and their high schools are: Benjamin Daniels Rose, Carrboro; Brianna Dillon, Chapel Hill; and Alice Keith, East Chapel Hill.
