The OWASA Board of Directors on June 9 approved the utility’s $19.1 million 2012 fiscal-year budget, which includes a 2 percent rate increase that will go into effect in October.
The budget represents an increase of approximately $500,000 over 2011.
OWASA estimates that the rate increase would add $1.66 to a residential bill for 5,000 gallons of water and sewer service.
