Schools receive garden grants

Posted on June 15, 2011 by Staff

Seven Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools received grants totaling $10,000 from Chartwells as a part of the food-service vendor’s commitment to locally grown produce.

Child-nutrition director Liz Cartano, chef Ryan McGuire and dietician Joan Mansfield joined assistant superintendent for support services Todd LoFrese on a tour of several school gardens on June 8.
