The public is invited to hear nationally known Raleigh-based artist Thomas Sayre speak about his proposed idea for a large-scale sculptural piece for a site along U.S. 15-501. The presentation will be held Aug. 4 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel Hill Public Library’s downstairs meeting room.
The sculpture would be placed on a 100-foot-wide median at U.S. 15-501 and Erwin Road. There is no funding at this time to create it, but private and other funding sources will be sought after the design is finalized.
