Rosemary streetscape improvements

Posted on August 17, 2011August 17, 2011 by Staff

A contractor working for the Town of Chapel Hill has begun constructing sidewalk and related streetscape improvements on the north side of the 300 block of West Rosemary Street from Mitchell Lane to Breadmen’s Restaurant.

Improvements will include building about 420 feet of concrete sidewalk and 500 feet of curb and gutter and installing trash receptacles. New street trees will be planted during the final phase of the $100,000 project, funded by the 2003 Streets and Sidewalks Bond.

Future lighting improvements are also planned. Construction is expected to be complete by mid-October.
