Haiku contest

The Village Project is putting on a Haiku Contest for International CarFree Day. Contestants are invited to address some aspect of their experience of the automobile, how to live without one or what it is like to live in a place where a car is not necessary. 

There will be a prize for best haiku and prizes for most humorous, most persuasive, best rant, most inspirational and most sensory. Grand Prize is a bicycle from the ReCYCLEry and category prizes will be gift certificates from local businesses. The deadline is midnight Sept. 22. Writers can submit as many Haikus as they wish to thevillageproject.com/blog
