ECHHS named school of excellence

Posted on September 14, 2011 by Susan Dickson

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction confirmed East Chapel Hill High School as an Honor School of Excellence last week.
An Honor School of Excellence is a school that meets Adequate Yearly Progress standards and has 90 percent or more of students at or above grade level on End-of-Course tests. Initial reports indicated ECHHS failed to fill Honor School of Excellence requirements; however, ECHHS contested the calculations, and the status was overturned.
