Bluegrass Experience anniversary

The Chatham County Arts Council will host The Bluegrass Experience’s 40th Anniversary Concert at the Barn in Fearrington Village in Pittsboro on Friday at 8 p.m.
Band members include co-founder Tommy Edwards, the group’s lead guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and storyteller; Thomas “Snuffy” Smith on bass; Stan Brown on banjo; Mike Aldridge on mandolin; and Al McCanless on fiddle. Former members Leroy Savage, Keith Thomas and Jimmy Cameron will also be performing with the band.
Tickets can be purchased online for $15 or at the door for $20. They can also be purchased at the Music Loft in Carrboro, or in Pittsboro at the Home Store Too, McIntyre’s Books in Fearrington or Red Gate Music, Art and Antiques.
Students can purchase tickets at the door for $10, ID required.
