LETTER: Vote Foushee

Posted on November 3, 2011 by Staff

I am Liz Mason Carter, former member of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Board of Education. I am asking for your support for Braxton Foushee on Nov. 8, 2011 for the Carrboro Board of Aldermen. He is locally grown and cares about this community.
I have always known of the Foushee family, but got to know Braxton when I served as a Girl Scout leader. His daughter, Janice was a part of the troop. Braxton was always volunteering his service to our troop, particularly when we went camping. He is an experienced camper and enjoys it. He would pitch our tents, start fires and help prepare the meals.
Braxton is a person of integrity, good character and one that is committed to serving this community. He has served on various local boards, including the OWASA board and the Carrboro Board of Aldermen. He worked 30-plus years for UNC Hospitals, worked as a dialysis technician for a period of time and currently works at Culbreth Middle School. He raised his children here in Carrboro. The children are grown and he continues to call Carrboro home.
Please support me in voting for Braxton Foushee on Nov. 8, 2011! He has been consistent in serving the community in which he calls home
