Carrboro women’s Cross Country takes state title

The Carrboro High School men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the NCHSAA Cross Country State Championship on Saturday. The women’s team won the 2A State Championship, with junior Grace Morken winning the individual 2A state title. The team also includes seniors Frankie Perone and Laura Hamon, juniors Alexa Phillips and Camilla Dohlman and freshmen Helen Morken and Maysa Araba.

This is the team’s third consecutive 2A cross country state title.

The men’s team was runner-up in the 2A state meet, with junior Dominic Collichio coming in fourth overall in the race.
