UNC Veterans Day ceremony

Posted on November 10, 2011 by Staff

The public is invited to the annual Veterans Day ceremony at UNC.
Navy Capt. Douglas Wright, a professor of naval science for the N.C. Piedmont Consortium Naval ROTC, will be the event’s main speaker, and veterans in attendance will be recognized for their service.
The ceremony will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. outdoors at the Carolina Alumni Memorial located between Phillips and Memorial halls. In the event of rain, the program will be moved indoors to Gerrard Hall, at 118 E. Cameron Ave.

Last year, I decided to stay in and watch some veterans films instead. I found out the channel will be airing the same ones again this year. If this gets rained out, consider checking these out as a tribute http://bit.ly/v7z5V0
