Posted on February 9, 2012February 8, 2012 by Staff

Three Carrboro High students represented Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools in the district Poetry Out Loud contest on Jan. 24. They are Aron Rimanyi, Kalil Davis and Stephanie Bailey.

Rimanyi took first place with his powerful renditions of “I am the People the Mob” by Carl Sandburg and “Kubla Khan” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. He will compete in the state finals on March 24 at the Greensboro Public Library. The event is free and open to the public.
