Japanese essay contest

Students from Carrboro and Chapel Hill high schools recently placed in the fourth annual North Carolina Japanese Language Essay Contest for High School Students.

First place in the Level 2 division was awarded to Catherine Bentulan of CHS. First place in the Level 3 division was awarded to Megan O’Donnell of CHHS, while Nell Ovitt of CHHS won second place. First place in the Level 4 division was awarded to Sophia Anopa of CHHS, while Katherine Boyd and Sainaga Paladugu of CHHS tied for second place.
