OWASA representative needed

Posted on March 1, 2012February 29, 2012 by Staff

The Orange County Board of Commissioners is seeking a volunteer to represent Orange County on the OWASA board of directors.

The board is made up of nine members. The Chapel Hill Town Council appoints five, the Carrboro Board of Aldermen appoints two and the Orange County Board of Commissioners appoints two.

The OWASA board adopts the authority’s annual budgets through set rates, fees and charges based on cost-of-service principles. They also approve bond issues to fund capital projects.
