The Celebrate Human Rights! Conference hosted by the Human Rights Center of Chapel Hill and Carrboro will be held Sunday at The ArtsCenter from 3-9 p.m.
The conference will include four panel discussions on day laborers, solidarity with people of color, participatory democracy and grassroots lawyers. Gene Nichol from the UNC Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity will be the keynote speaker. The event will also include a tamale dinner and music by Plutopia.
Tickets can be purchased at The ArtsCenter box office on the day of the event or online at artscenterlive.org/event/performance/1096. There is a suggested donation price of $7 for tickets.
